Hi everyone at MGS Slash. I've actually been lurking here for a few months. This is obviously my first post in the community and I really hope it doesn't suck. I'm not sure how you classify this sort of fic but I suppose it's sort of like a drabble? It's the first piece of fan fiction I've ever written and maybe the only one I will ever write. Well ( Read more... )

I don't really have anything to add after Fly's comment, so I'll just say this: Bravo!

*points to icon* I spent a lot of time trying to make it seem right so I'm really glad you guys enjoyed it and even complimented me. *sniff* :'( I probably wouldn't be able to write an actual story but wowyouguysaresoniceyoumademyday! *pathetic sobs of joy* Seriously though, thanks for the comments (firefly, emago,& btw I'm sorry I made you faint wohdin) and thanks in advance to whoever else decides to comment. Now that I look at my fic again for the 100th time I'm still not satisfied but I force myself to not change it again goddamnit!

Beautiful, so much so that I'm not sure what more there is to say. You write a great Otacon - I don't usually like Otacon but I love this Otacon - and this is a truly believable look at how this pairing could develop. Lots of great lines - I think this is my favourite: A bottle of beer. A laptop. A pack of Lucky Strikes. A compilation of Mobile Suit Gundam episodes. Living in some unfrequented part of the Alaskan wilderness or in some desolate apartment in the remotest part of Manhattan. Honestly, I don’t think there was much of a difference.

I really hope this isn't the only fic you'll ever write. .__.

It starts off a little shaky, but everything turns out beautiful and so sad as it reaches the end. Keep writing!

We don’t take trips to Jupiter, but we go wherever we’re needed to stop the threat of nuclear war. We travel as nomads, Snake and Otacon to the rest of the world, to stop our past-dead or alive-from ruining our future. - The Space Odyssey reference, wow. And that's exactly what their relationship is all about, too.
