Meanwhile, on Stray

The eminently awesome sovietadamushka has provided wonderful fanart not only of ESAU but also that particularly disgusting scene a couple chapters ago, much to my girlish delight. Many hearts and gratitudes!

“This is a pornographic magazine! They do not appear on the floor spontaneously! If you see one laying at the very edge of the area you are patrolling and it was not there before, ignore it, capture the intruder, then steal one from Octopus! His are better anyway!”

I've died. XD Hogawsh.

N-E-HOO, as all your chapters, I love-ed this one. 'Cause this is an amazing story. :3 I especially liked the fact that we're finally seeing what's going on in the non-Ocecon part of the galaxy.

yaaaaay, fanarts. :)

Thank you! Yeah, there needed to be a quick break to check on how things were going back at the fortress. And, to like heighten dramatic tension or someshit.

The invocation of ridiculous gameplay mechanics was probably ill-advised, but I couldn't help it.

Well, in a sane world, this entire thing should have never been, so it's perfect!

I love how you wrote Snake and Liquid's relationship, also the bit with Liquid lecturing the troops was priceless.

I was actually a little leery about that. I've been trying to leave the stupidity (e.g. Volgin with a puppy on his leg) to the past. I tried to cut it out, but I couldn't. I am weak. Besides, hell, if you're going to fight fate, fighting gameplay mechanics is step one.

Snake and Liquid are fun to write about. I can imagine that, if they had been brought up together, they would never have given the other the chance to get caught up in his personal obssessions, and so would have balanced each other out. Or murdered each other.

Yeah, I've always felt that raising them seperately was probably one of the smartest things the Patriots ever did.
One little boy: fine
Two little boys: troublesome but managable
Twin little boys: now it gets tricky
Twin little boys with genius level IQs and genetically engineered for fighting = ARMAGEDDON

Hah! Somehow, I see Big Boss as being the one person in the world who could handle them. "Eat all your vegetables and I'll show you the gross place where my eye got shot out." "COOL!"

LOl, LJ doesn't want me to post today apparently.

Anyways, loved this! Cleared up my questions about the time flow and everything.=^^=

At first read, I didn't quite get who Big Boss was seeing in the monitors. When I did, I kind of yelped/screamed "Sorrow!" and scared a few people in the surrounding area.

Ah, good! I'm always glad to see any of this stuff actually make sense outside of the cozy sanctuary of my deluded brain.

And I love causing anybody to scare people.
