Woot, praise *and* Captain Victory! (Is it sad that I've gotten sucked into that show after a grand total of one episode? Judging from the commercials, it's too bad I missed the tryouts. "Superheroes, huh. Sounds like an interesting OH MY GOD MANFAYE")
(Is it wrong that I find it funny that Ocelot's 'ideal' death scene is so similar to Sniper Wolf's? Ocelot wants to die like a girrrrrrl. And I'm sick-minded. :3)
Hehe, good eye ^_^ I've found that something this long gives me lots of room to be obsessively referential, whether it's to the games, random bits of anything I happen to think of, or earlier parts of the story itself. Sniper Wolf kept popping up in my mind, and it seemed appropriate. (I always felt bad for Otacon in that scene. "*weep weep* I love you!" Wolf: "Uh-huh. That's nice.")
Nah, this is an entirely *new* random Groznyj Grad soldier! Which are, I've come to realize, far too much fun to come up with. Incidentally, it makes me very happy to see somebody remember those two ^_^
Why are my favorite pairings always the ones that begin with, "Step 1: Keep anybody from getting murdered"?
Indeed! I missed that in MGS3. "Come on, man! You're suppossed to have just enough time to dramatically gasp out your life story! THEN you can explode! ...Come on, I want to hear more about the bees."
You said the last part/this part would be way out there, but this doesn't strike me as weird. Probably because you have that knack for turning the bizarre believable.
Alternate lives with the Sorrow as the Ghost of Christmas Time Paradox - love it. Highlighting the (now obvious) parallels between young Ocelot (Ocelittle?) and Wolf - fantastic. Updates are delight. And yeah, a cheesy death scene sounds like a perfectly plausible desire for any aspiring Metal Gear boss... live fast, die dramatically. It's sad that his certainty of death has won out here over his "I'm not going to die" revelation all those chapters back. But it's not over yet...

"Ocelot's eyebrow arches like a caterpillar preparing for a sprint."
Brillant. ^_^

(She's so mean to him, on that Codec call too! Poor Otacon, he picked the wrong girl there. Good thing he got Snake after the game )

Otacon: "I know she's a terroist an all, but she's nice to dogs!"
Snake: "*sigh*"
