I LOVE THE FIRST PART SO MUCH. Seriously, that was awesome. I kinda wondered if Snake was dead at one point, but you concealed the circumstances well. And Hal was kind of sweet with it. *Wibble*

The comparison between the kind of bittersweet loneliness and the dirty, self-disgust Dave possesses for this fic is stark, and sad. Nicely done.

I don't despise Meryl, but they totally forced her and Snake into the romance thing and it just did. not. work. At all. It was a wonder they lasted a canon six months...

I liked her a lot the first five minutes into the game, but I lost respect where she announced she had to get her hands dirty. Killing people is fun, tee hee! - Not impressed!
