Begin Again - Halloween for 1000egrets

Oct 26, 2012 18:35

This story evolved after listening to While My Guitar Gently Weeps.  The melancholy tone of the lyrics and melody with the picture prompt from 1000_egrets set me on this path. The prompt was accompanied by a request for something full of angst, so I hope you enjoy it, in a sad sort of way.

A powerful story of regret. It was interesting to read about an introspective THRUSH, someone trying to make a change. Thank you for a very different and engaging read.

Thank you so much. Putting angst into the story was my priority, and the weeping of those strings on this arrangement set the story in motion.

I love it when a story goes somewhere unexpected, and your musical inspiration is one of my favorite tracks ever. A win-win where I'm concerned.

I love this version of WMGGW, George Martin did a fabulous job adding the strings to what is merely a demo of the song. The Cirque du Soleil treatment is visually very beautiful as well.

Oh, thank you for my story! It's very much what I was hoping for when i posted the picture. I enjoyed the Beatle's song too. Haven't heard that one in ages.

Thank you,

;^))

I am so glad that you like this. When I saw 'angst' along with that photo I couldn't resist ;) The song... well, such a wonderful piece and this arrangement from the LOVE show in Vegas is achingly good. Happy Halloween :D

Gee, thanks :D It's good to have characters who have so many dimensions to their personalities. Illya is full of surprises.

The sadness between the two seemed to form a bound not broken by death. Wondersul view of the torment of a soul.
