I find it gamey. I eat venison, but lamb is stronger to me. I have eaten roast lamd cooked with a cup of coffee (made with cream and sugar) that bastes it. The coffee took the gaminess down and that made the lamb tasty. My father in law discovered that recipe. He did use a couple cups of the coffee and basted the roast frequently.

Interesting. I find mutton gamey, but not lamb. I'd never get that recipe by TBG. He despises the taste of coffee.
