This song was No 1 in the US in December 1967, staying at the top of the chart for four weeks. It reached No 5 in the UK. Ha! I liked Peter best, followed by Mike - so we could have shared them out quite nicely! I got to see Peter and Mickey perform in Canberra - I think it was three years ago, but my perception of time is so distorted these days. It was a wonderful evening, made extra special now that we’ve lost Peter. It goes to show that if you have an opportunity to do something or see something, you should always jump at it if possible. With the exception of skydiving, of course - I was offered a free jump, but naked fear got the better of me and I said no - and have never regretted it!
