My local shopping centre has a TV screen suspended from the ceiling. It's usually tuned to a 24 hour news station, with the sound muted and the captions turned on. Well, I walked in this morning, and the first thing I saw was an item on the Mueller Report with the caption reading ( Read more... )

meanwhile in the 'real' world, thrush, silliness, caption fails

At this point, I'm not sure we haven't been taken over by Thrush, by policy, if not in name. The people in charge seem to want to subjugate the inferior (not enormously rich) part of humanity and rule the world as an oligarchy.

Well to be honest, if we'd been taken over by THRUSH I'd expect life to be a bit more colourful, if not better overall! THRUSH has a snazzy logo, natty uniforms, and some entertainingly bizarre plots to take over the world. What's more, they seem to lead in scientific research, as well as (judging by the number of high-ranking THRUSH women) in the matter of women's employment rights.

... And I've almost managed to convince myself that a THRUSH takeover would be a Good Thing! *g*
