As the song says, It's a rich man's world. So, where does UNCLE get its money?

I always think of UNCLE as close kin to Interpol, and Interpol's operating income...68 percent was contributed by member countries, mostly in the form of statutory contributions (67 percent) and 26 percent came from externally funded projects, private foundations and commercial enterprises. (wiki)

You may well be right. I just remember Waverly really being a penny pincher in the third season. First season, UNCLE seemed to have more money than it knew what to do with.

Always wondered but figures the UN had something to due with it.

he prints it in the basement
or maybe royalties from the mfu series..

i was taught that money grows on trees, but since there are no forests left, i think that may be wrong

the meaning of U.N.C.L.E. is made ambiguous so it could refer to either "Uncle Sam" or the United Nations. using "U.N." for commercial purposes resulting in the producers' clarification that U.N.C.L.E. was an acronym for the United Network Command for Law and Enforcement.

i read that each episode had an "acknowledgement" to the U.N.C.L.E. in the end titles

so, who's our UNCLE? Sam's our uncle! or maybe Napoleon Solo is our UNCLE..
duh )))

Technically he is 'the' man from UNCLE. He was never supposed to have a sidekick.

There were at least three shows where UNCLE had a close relationship with some organization of international leaders that was called the Council of Nations (avoiding UN objections): Mad, Mad Tea Party, Tigers are Coming, and Take Me to Your Leader. I think there was a fourth, but the scene was very brief and I can't remember the context. I've always figured that the Council of Nations funded them, maybe hidden under the peacekeeping forces budget ( ... )
