(Technically a
crosspost from tumblr, but I figured it might amuse folks around here too)
There's plenty to love about UNCLE’s promotional stills, but maybe my favourite thing is just how many there are where it looks like Illya’s spotted the camera man, and thinks he’s up to no good.
“I see you there”
“You!”
“I’m starting to wonder about this thing where you keep showing up wherever we go.”
“Really? Again?”
“Don’t think I haven’t noticed what you’re up to.”
“Just what are you hoping to catch us doing?”
“We just can’t get away from you anywhere, can we?”
Even if you stick Illya at the very back of the action…
“I’ve got your number, you bastard. You. just. wait.”
He’s tried bringing the problem to Napoleon’s attention, but Napoleon seems unconvinced.
After a while, even the ones where Illya’s not looking straight at the camera start to feel like part of the narrative.
“Shit, what’s that feeling? It’s my that-man-with-the-camera-sense! It’s tingling again.”
I rest my case.
