Brief thoughts on Remember the Titans

So first of all, I always enjoy me a good god episode. Though granted, none have ever been quite as cool (creepy) as the S1 apple orchard gods, but nonetheless, I'm a big mythology fan so it's always fun. That said, I would have liked a bit more action from Artemis and Zeus. It was a sweet episode (I liked Sam and "Shane's" talk) but not very ( Read more... )

I solidly agree with you, friend. If Dean is a douche when Cas shows back up, I will scream. I'm hoping that won't happen because it does seem legit possible the writers are actually trying to give Dean an ounce of emotional maturity these days (at least with people who are not Sam), but I don't AT ALL trust them enough for it to be a guarantee.

That ending drove me crazy! Is the kid cured? Does he merely continue dying over and over because now his father is dead and the curse must continue? Are they going to hunt him down? How can they get rid of a god? Like you, 1000 questions. Good casting for Zeus, though. Even that Prometheus guy was good.

Y'know, there is *something* going on with our Dean this season. There is a definite softening occurring, and it started when Cas came back. I think the guilt he was carrying (when he thought it was his fault for losing Cas) was the cause of a lot of the strife between him and Sam. He was projecting -- he couldn't save Cas, and why couldn't Sam save him?

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say we're actually going to see *concern* from Dean when Cas returns rather than being annoyed at where he is. Maybe I'll have to eat my hat, but I have a feeling we'll see touchy-feeling caring Dean when he comes back.
