I had to smile when I read this in a reaction post today: "BYE CROWLEY. I'll miss you but Mark Sheppard will be awesome and keep showing up on every tv show I like ever so I'm not as sad as I could be."
Agreed. I LIKED Crowley. And the way he was taken out just seemed kind of . . . I dunno, arbitrary? Rushed? Not-thought-through? Cas just shows up at the last second to torch his bones? I didn't care for that at ALL.
It's the equivalent of Show bringing Gabriel back to the fore, only to almost immediately kill him off. *raises eyebrow*
Someone else mentioned the whole ep seemed rushed. While I actually enjoyed the pacing, I think they were going for shocker. But by now, I mean, someone dying at mid-season ISN'T a shocker. I'm just pissed.
Yes, show can be a bit of a douchebag, I was pissed Gabriel died immediately, too. And hell, I'm even annoyed Christian died because I liked that snarky antagonism. But then they turned him into a demon anyway, so blah. :P
Oh, hush. You're not allowed to say that, fellow Krycek lover. ;) In fact, to me, Crowley was the Krycek of Supernatural. (I also mentioned to a friend last night how poetic it would be if Grandpa killed him, but I was thinking at the end of the season or something, not now!).
Whatever, I am now maintaining hope that he found Purgatory and that was, in fact, his plan. Somehow. And he'll become ruler of Purgatory, which is probably a little more pleasant than Hell. WHATEVER, HE'LL BE BACK ADJKSL;!!
Crowley's misunderstood, too! Just, by the writers. But they don't understand ANYONE at this point. :P
