I mentioned it in my review too -- there must have been a reason they shot and FXed that scene with Dean's eyes radiating that way. I hope it wasn't sloppy writing.
Huh, I totally didn't think of that "only an angel can kill another angel" rule (or maybe it's more of a guideline?) I guess I'd have to agree that vessels count as angels because I also don't think that Michael was actual in Dean yet. (oh, that sounded way dirtier than intended...)
Alec on DA? His hair wasn't the uber short Dean cut, but nowhere near ponytail length. Hell, I'd take the bowl cut he had as Brady on whatever soap he was on over a ponytail.

I think poor writing. It annoyed me that Dean could kill Zach when they've said only angels can kill angels. If they did SOMEHOW fix it by having him possessed by Michael or something, then that'd be cool, but I don't really have that much faith in the writers. XD
