I've been listening to commentary like drugs, drugs! for the past two weeks. I still haven't decided who I'm voting for, and plan on keeping up with the pundits for a while longer before settling in on a candidate.

Very interesting. Do you read the candidates websites and such, too, or just listen to the pundits? And which pundits so you listen to (as in what news stations, books, radio shows, etc)?

Just the pundits. I consider them political tour guides, I couldn't make a decision without them. I'd rather watch them go back and forth about it instead of sift/analyze through the news myself. And they're more perceptive than I am, since they do it for a living.

Radio: I listen to Dennis Prager (although he's not a political pundit, he just talks about everything in life) and Hugh Hewitt. They broadcast pretty much every day, three hours each, so there always something to hear. I don't have a tv/cable, so I rely on podcasts. I do miss having C-span and CNN.

Online: don't read much online bc it takes too long; it's easier to multi-task when listening than reading.

Books: I haven't read a political book in two years, mainly bc radio has been sufficient. The only books I'd probably go out of my way to read are anything by Thomas Sowell (except he's more of a cultural commentator through an economist's perspective instead of a political pundit) and Theodore Dalyrmple (also heavier on culture than politics).

Also, for a break: The Onion > Dailyshow/Colbert Report. I love the Onion.

I haven't decided who to vote for (in fact, very far from deciding), but your poll was very, very interesting. I intend to check back on it (if I remember) in a few days to see the results better.

Haha, was my poll or the results interesting? I'm finding the results different than I thought they would be...but very inline with the way the nation is polling towards.

I thought both the poll and the results were kind of interesting. The poll was interesting because it was unbiased and was genuinely trying to understand the demographics and political leanings of your friends list. And I thought the results were interesting too although the pool of respondents is quite small. Yes! Poke me! :D

I tried to do the poll, I really did, but running down the list I realized I couldn't possibly bring myself to vote for ANY of them. :(

Haha, he does...but then he works for the Russians, too, so I don't know about him as Prez...;-)

I don't like or trust a single one of them. I don't know what I'm going to do. Of course I plan to vote, but...maybe it'll get easier to decide once the field gets whittled down a little.
