Where in Texas? Are they from Texas? You could totally enlist them in cooking projects where they buy and cook the food (and they are kept busy with something they like or think you want). Tell them you want to try authentic Tex-Mex, as there is none in Boston. There's no Tex-Mex in Mexico either, and I miss it. I missed it living in Boston. Get them to make burritos. Tell them you've always wanted to try a chimichanga! That will inspire them and get them out of your hair, whild feeding you! :)
