Just forgot to add this incident.. We both used to go to singing classes together. He had a gr8 shruthi sense and used to sing quite well. He used to mess up the tAlam part and used to question my teacher why one should put tAlam. I was in my 3rd std then, and used to follow up both shruthi and tAlam quite well. My teacher used to appreciate me for putting tAlam perfectly and scold him saying 'Indha chinna ponne podaradhu. Unakku enna'. So, on one fine day my brother warned me that he would drop me half-the-way to home if i put tAlam correctly that day. But i happened to disobey him and he left me alone mid-way to home. I did not know the way back home and was staying back wherever my brother had left me. My parents had a great difficulty in finding me that day and from then on they stopped sending both of us to the music school. Gradually he started disliking Carnatic music and even now he asks me to learn 'dappankuthu songs' instead of 'slow & boring music'. :)
