It just may be. After two years of failed pregnancy attempts (and many, many hormones and fertility drug treatments), I'd pretty much given up on having a baby. Abridged version: Friends' son's real mom (they adopted him) has her third kid. Had first two taken away from her (first by my friends, her uncle, and second by her mom). Third baby is 8 month old Paige. Long story short, the past few days have been filled with me taking care of Paige because her mom is a fucking wacko crackhead who cannot properly care for a child. We are now going to work with the mother's mom and family to figure out a way to adopt Paige. I'm trying not to be too hopeful but it's hard. So very hard.
