"She had no problem with killing men. Killing beasts. Or even killing heroes. But The Doctor was none of these things." Love that. Both the phrasing and the idea. That's what I really love about River in relation to the Doctor. I think she sees him both as more and less than other companions tended to. Meaning, he's this living, breathing, fallible being that she just loves beyond life itself. For that alone, I'd say this story was fantastic. But the rest just adds to it. Well done.
