I was totally surprised when it turned out to be Amy. Completely thought that was supposed to be River at first. But that was a good surprise. And I like your descriptions of the Doctor's physicality, how he enters people's spaces without meaning what people might expect. That's very true. And then how you looped in Jenny. I really liked that. I like the idea of the Doctor meeting back up with her. And then there were some little things, like when Amy tells River, "You lie." And she replies, "I do." So true. So Amy to call her on that and so River to admit to it. Moving on to part two....
An extra big thank you for commenting on both halves. :D I'm glad you were surprised by it being Amy and not River, I'd written it that way intentionally. I had this weird combination of the end of Peter Pan and the scene where The Doctor puts Amy to bed in "The Big Bang" in my head and really liked the way it kind of scuplted my thoughts for the opening of this fic. And I'm really happy you enjoyed the addition of Jenny. She's one of my all time favorite Who characters, that I hope comes back as a full time companion at some point. As much as I love Amy, Rory, and most importantly River, I know it all has to end sometime and I think that would be the perfect time for her to return, to ease The Doctor through the loss of River. Or perhaps slightly before (because I've always wanted Jenny & River to meet), so she's there to give him strength the morning after the Singing Towers. But anyway, I'm getting OT, I apologize.
