So, it's almost September, which was when I promised the new Chen novel to all of you who were kind enough to pre-order it. Due to family problems (my father has been very ill and is now in a hospice) I'm more behind with projects than I would like. However, the novel has been going quite well - we're about 3/4 done, and the ending is mapped out,

I'm so sorry to hear about your father. As far as I'm concerned, "whenever" would be a perfectly fine pub date under the circumstances.
