Lana didn't plan on giving the Planet any money. The paper simply didn't need it and she was out for a cause that did.

But...James looked so bored, possibly grumpy, not to mention lonely. The least she could do was go over and say hi.

And so she approached, a weak grin on her face.

"How's business?"

Lana.

It was nice to see Lana, if he was being honest.

He frowned and tipped his little basket up, showing her the three single one dollar bills inside the basket. Business was not good. More than not good.

"What business?" he scoffed.

Her nose crinkled at his lack of funds. Worse than she thought.

"That's no good."

"Yeah, and it was given to me by an old bitty who tried to shove her tongue down my throat." he retorted, making a face.

"And all she gave you was three dollars?" Odd, that woman. "That's got to be worth at least ten."

"Apparently, she thinks I'm cheap... not to mention easy." he sighed with frustration, shaking his head.

She spoke as she got out her wallet and looked for the small bills.

"Well, cheap and easy usually go hand in hand. Not that you're either."

He scoffed. "Yeah, I'd like to think I'm not either..." He trailed off when he realized what she was doing.

Wow. She was taking money out. Did that mean she was going to kiss him?

When she was done, seven bills were in front of him: four fives and three tens. For anyone with math issues, that would be fifty.

"Small bills, so you can tell your coworkers whatever you want." She grinned a little. "But if you'd rather skip a kiss..."

Was she kidding? He'd have to be insane to turn down a kiss from a girl as pretty as her. He wasn't backing out of this for anything.

He slowly took the bills from her. "Well... you shouldn't waste your money, so... it's only fair if I try to give you your money's worth, Lana."

She raised an eyebrow. "Can you do that in public?" It was a lot of money, after all.

He felt a smirk sliding onto his lips, and didn't even realize it. "Well... I could give you one really sweet kiss, or we could go elsewhere to finish things up." He was kidding, of course. To prove this, he inserted a doofy laugh.

She matched his smirk. "I think I'll go with the kiss. I'd prefer to stay on this side of the prison bars."

He chuckled, and then leaned forward. He gestured with one finger, urging her to come closer. "I'll do my very best to make it worthwhile, Ms. Lang." he said with a smile.

She leaned closer, close enough for him to make his move. "Why thank you, Mr. Olsen."

Slowly, he closed the space between them, and pressed his lips to hers. At first, it was a gentle kiss, soft and sweet. But then, without notice, it grew, becoming a little harder and rougher.

He finally pulled back before it had a chance to become too intense. He couldn't get caught up in it. After all, it was supposed to only be a business transaction.
