I KNOW RIGHT?

It has been a super glorious year for the classicist/medievalist segment of fandom (I think there are actually a lot of us - and okay, I'm including myself even though I don't have a degree yet).

The Exeter Book one is just ASTOUNDING. And I went ahead and read the translation without working it out for myself, bc I just won't have time to do that for a while, and it is GORGEOUS.

YES YES YES.

And I'm including myself as a classicist/medievalist fan. Doesn't mean I have to be an expert or anything, just a fan, right?

I LOVE THE EXETER BOOK ONE. AND I BABBLED AT MY DAD AND TRIED TO EXPLAIN THE AWESOMENESS AND HE JUST WENT HUH?? AT ME.

My pleasure! I've had a lot of fun with the archive this year - normally I just read mostly what other people rec, so it's been fun finding my own faves.

(I will also be flooding you with mythology/fairy tale recs soon, too)
