well this was a strange...something.

Having just finished whining about how I don't understand Road...I wrote Road fic. Clearly. Eh, maybe I understand her a bit.

This is a prompt from Elle: DGM, any!Noah, competition, hodgepodge, anachronism (500 words)

I open a door.

The room on the other side is outside; trees and rocks and a sky I pulled from a Tyki-dream about blood-red butterflies ( Read more... )

short stuff, dgm

...Okay, I grant you, hodgepodge is something of an evil word, but look what you did with it!

I think you do understand her a bit. I mean, the softer-side-of-Road is arguably the harder one to capture, but it puts the whole twisted Noah-dynamic into a really... sweet sort of perspective. The rooms, the candy in the pocket. Road-as-caretaker wasn't something I expected, but I like it. It's totally family, even in the twisted context of Noah!family.

So, well done :D And thank you!

(Also, the twins room = best room.)

Anachronism. That was also an evil word. When was the last time I used that in casual conversation? ...Never. Well, never outside the context of time-traveling sci-fi.

I'm glad you liked it, though! :) Road is really interesting with the family. She SEEMS to be sweet with them. It's just...that it's Road, and so you have to wonder if she's really being sweet, or if this is all a part of some elaborate messing-with-their-heads game that only she knows about.

I want Noah explanations ALMOST as much as I want Kanda backstory.

That was very believable for Road - wanting to make sure that her family is happy and taking care of them.

And Tyki being so nonconformist is perfect.

Though it makes me a little concerned for what really goes on inside your head :)

DON'T WORRY ABOUT ME I'M FINE.

Maybe I'll post the Kamui today. Then everyone can be concerned.

Oh, Tyki. You have to admire that level of displacement. Never entirely anything, Tyki Mikk.

I'm glad you liked the Road. Yay! Also, whew. :D
