Oh wow, this fic is so wonderful. You brought out all the charms of Bak and Fou--love how Fou feels betrayed by people's deaths, even though she knows they can't help it--and the melancholy atmosphere remained even though there were any number of lines that made me laugh. And Bak's roundabout way of trying to cheer Fou was sweet.

"They’ll be like me, only-if such a thing can be conceived-better!"

I was thinking that anyone who'd outlived as many people as Fo has--particularly given her personality--would have to be finding it very irritating. Like, "Why do I even bother to put effort into caring about you?" Basically, it must suck to be immortal. Anyway, I'm really glad you enjoyed this!

Oh, bittersweet fic! You fleshed out Fou and Bak really nicely here. Gotta love Bak's way of cheering her up :D

Oh, and for some reason, I really like this sentence:

I love the relationship between these two, and there are so few stories that even touch on it. I love that you wrote this. <3 It was so sad and so cute at the same time; that's hard to accomplish.

And mentioning that Zhu wanted to live to see Kanda one more time was so sad.

That intersection of the horrible and the hilarious is one of my favorite things about DGM, actually. (And DOGS. And Dazzle. And Kurosagi Corpse Delivery Service. ...NOTICING A TREND.) So I'm glad I managed to keep that feeling. ^_^

That was a great read, really bittersweet :) I love how well you balance both comedy and tragedy in this fic and you depict their relationship so awfully well. I always thought that, in spite of the all comedic moments that is usually shown, Fou's relationship with others is ultimately underlined with sadness. I guess that comes with being an immortal. But I do like Bak's effort in cheering her up, indirectly. For all his pompousness, he's a decent soul ;)

Oh, and the bit on Bak's theoretical offsprings: PERFECT! XD Dream on, it's never going to happen.
