Here's an idea: how about let's LEAVE KANDA'S BRAIN ALONE?

Oh, the new chapter, so stressful. On the upside, I'd thought I was going to have to rewrite half of this fic, but no! It works out. This is my attempt at a DGM best case scenario.

I fucking love you. This was amazing. I just had so many good laughs over this. So, so many. And I love what you've done here, this future you've envisioned, and Kanda's snarky personality mixed with resignation. <3 So great. I have just been grinning like a lunatic over this. I don't normally like old!fics, but this one is good. Maybe because they're not trying to have sweet, slow sex or something at this age, which honestly, does kinda creep me out a little even if I don't mind it.

Next time I read it, I'll tell you which lines in particular I liked the best ^_^ And Allen -would- have mystrious ailments that he can hide from Kanda. <3

Yeah...I have it on good authority that once you get past a certain age, your sex drive is much diminished. It seems very unlikely that sex would be as big a part of a relationship when you are, say, 70. Which they are in effect.

This was so ridiculously sweet. They get along so well, and so horribly, even in old age.

I think the Line with Allen being drunk and reciting lines from the bible and his life was my favorite. And of course, the end here. More compliments to be given in the second part. :D

Anyway. Aww, that's so sweet how the nature of their relationship hadn't really changed, just.. Soften. Er. I dunno if it's the right word.

I loved how the actual content of this is bitter, but the way you wrote it made me smile and giggle. Just... Wow.

I can't really say which are my fave parts, they're beautiful as whole <3
But Kanda musing about watching Allen is like watching a cat amused me a lot XD

I'm speechless. Seriously. Like as I read, there was so much I wanted to say and now I don't know what to say anymore.
This made me feel like crying just as much as it made me grin like an idiot. God, I love this so much!

Miri was a pleasant surprise! God, how life could be so ridiculous at times. She was so close yet they couldn't find her. But really, I love her.

And lolz, typical Kanda to have been married for a decade without even realizing it XD

Their fights about scars was lolz! And oh dear Kanda scaring Baby Lady. Gotta be my fave scene XD

And the reason for Allen letting himself fall asleep... T.T

Oh. And Kanda's 'so this is what a happy ending is like' wins so much. How much meaning those simple words contain, especially seeing that they're now dying... Ugh. <3

I agree with everything you want! I've been wanting Kanda's backstory so bad since chap 186, but all I got was this 'Alma' has something to do with him. Who the hell is Alma anyway? D:
And Cross... I don't want to believe that he died, he can't be!
It's true that Marie needs more love. His knowing smirk wins XD

Anyway I don't really understand stuff reading chap 187. There seems to be quite the time skip since chap 186 ne? And it was like 'information overload' to me.

Yes, it didn't need to be any more complicated. It was complicated to begin with! Now is the time to tie some things up, not throw out random new threads! ARGH.

Shenanigans are...adventures that have in some way gone wrong. Like if you walk into your room and find that your roommate has broken all the lights, painted the walls purple, and constructed a life-size model of Albus Dumbledore out of popsicle sticks, an appropriate response would be, "What shenanigans led to this?" Or, more traditionally, if a flock of screaming naked men painted blue go running past you on a busy street, you might say, "Wow, crazy shenanigans."

Hypothetically.

So I would like Bookman shenanigans; Lavi is completely capable of them. :D

The word comes from Gaelic, I think. Which seems only logical.

*goes to write* The next thing I finish OUGHT to be a Noise Marie fic. It is embarrassing how long I've been working on that without making any noticeable progress. oh, fail. :D
