Let's start this off with Gintoki!

THIS IS A HARD ONE. Gintama fandom is hard to take seriously since the series isn't meant to taken seriously. I mean... Unless things get serious. ANYWAY.

People saying Gintoki is in love with Tae. While Gintoki respects her, he is horrified of her.

People saying Gintoki is pedo for Kagura. Gintoki sees her as a daughter/little sister figure... and is horrified of her.

People saying Gintoki is in love with Hijikata. Gintoki sees him as a rival (or a friend even) and someone to tease and annoy forever.

I could go on, but I won't. Shipping characters in Gintama IS funny, but it shouldn't not be taken seriously.

IKKI IS NOT GAY FOR AKITO OR AGITO. HE IS STRAIGHT AS AN ARROW.

And same goes for Ikki's feelings for Kazu. He is his bro 4 life and nothing more. But Kazu's side of the relationship is more debatable. This is O!G. He makes everything and everyone look gay.

Then there is the Ikki -> Ringo -> Simca -> Kururu love... rectangle that is becoming a trainwreak amongst fans currently. From my point of view: Ikki is completely oblivious to Kururu's feelings, then he still has a fanboy crush on Simca and he seems to be aware of Ringo's feelings now. But that was pretty much summed up as:

Ikki: OH SHIT RINGO LIKES ME
... but first lemme beat up these guys
... then go save Rika-nee
... what was I thinking about???

Overall, Ikki realizes it and just... handwaves it since there were more important things going on.

Also the majority of fandon hates Ikki in general. It's because he's simply THE main character. Sure, Ikki is an idiot, but he has his really smart moments that tend to be overshadowed quite often.

A lot of people say that Ichigo OUTHAX his way out of fights, but honestly it's because he's the type of person who gets better when he's naturally fighting. He fights through instincts and gets better when he uses them. And Ichigo has always had super strong spiritual pressure to begin with. Also the style of fighting in the series has always been "One strong Spiritual Pressure will overwhelm the other." It's always been that simple.

YOKO IS NOT A SLUUUUUUT

The Kiss of Death thing, I can agree with. But just because she has a hot bod doesn't mean that she'll throw herself on every guy that comes her way. Yoko is a lot more independent than fanon gives her credit for. Also just because she started falling for Kittan doesn't mean she's a slut either. It's only natural for you to have a "first love" and then move onto another person in life if you meant to fall out of love with that one person.

BATTLER BEING INCOMPETENT has been pretty much overshadowed his awesome and intelligent moments in the series. Battler is smart as Episode 5 have shown with him solving the entire damn game. A lot of people think he cries way too much or gets ~*overemotional*~... but can you really blame him in his crapsack world? One of the best aspects about his character is how he still keeps a positive attitude even through he gets kicked down a lot. And also some say that he's an asshole? Battler is an upbeat and nice guy who tries to see the good in everyone. When Battler gets angry, it's usually for good reason. But he's not an complete asshole or heartless to Beatrice or anyone else 24/7.
