Thanks! Unfortunately, I don't think the story of Jack and Gray will ever be a happy one...

O my god! You were right. This was an amazing update! I can't believe the next part is going to be the last!

I'm glad it was worth it! There is, indeed, only one part left, and that's where we'll finally get the whole picture of what happened to Gray, all those years ago.

Thanks for sticking with this story so far. I'll see you tomorrow for the last part!

This is unexpected; I thought it might have been fairies. Poor Jack. He get's his butt kicked no matter what universe he's in. I noticed there is only one more epsiode in this story. Are we getting a series out of you in this verse, please, please, and very pretty please?

Sadly, nope, not fairies (though that might have actually been worse, in some ways). Jack's got it much better in this 'verse than he does in canon, really, it's just that this story is taking the time to show you one of the worst, most defining moments of his life.

There is indeed only one more part to this story. I've considered writing a sequel, because I adore this AU and would really like to continue it and see how the rest of canon S1 would play out (especially now that I don't have to direct them toward the reveal of Gray). However, there's nothing immediate planned out.

Thanks for reading, and taking the time to comment! I'll see you tomorrow for the final part (for now)!

Oh my! I was gone a few days and so many intense updates. I feel for Jack, poor Jack, who lost so much. I also feel for Ianto who has also lost so much. Maybe the boys will eventually realize they could be there for each other... to help deal with their losses. This is such an emotional story, I just live it! I especially love your Ianto...

Thank you! Jack and Ianto have both suffered in this 'verse, but in ways that leave them as pretty different people than the ones they are in canon. The two of them achieving a stable, loving relationship definitely isn't the point of this story, but I do think that they would be good for each other. Oh, boys. *g*

Also, yay for Ianto! Everyone seems to comment on this Jack (who is, granted, the focus of the story, and much more emotionally open), but I'm glad that you appreciate my Ianto.

Jack finally has his answers and his memories of what really happened. Definitely not the way he wanted things to be, but at least now he knows. I hope seeing Gray doesn't do more damage than good.

Yep, Jack finally has (most) of his answers. We'll see what happened to Gray in the next part, and Jack's reaction to it. Look for the final part tomorrow!
