Reminiscences of birthdays past

Over the last couple of days, since my birthday, I looked back in my old diaries to see what I had written 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50 years ago - back to my 12th birthday. I transcribed the entries electronically, but in the 1963 one I made a mistake, and transcribed the entry for 13 May instead of 13 April

Thank you, that was a real gift to me. My grandfather did his BA many, many years ago at the University of Natal. Now I have a picture in my mind of the place.

It's especially beautiful in October when the jacaranda are in blum, but that's the time everyone is busy studying for the exams.
