Now that we have broadband Internet access I've been trying to use the tags feature of LJ, and tagging old entries with the main subjects. I did not dare try something like that before for fear of a horrible surprise when the phone bill arrived ( Read more... )

Do you mean you want to see a list with all your tags? (Like this.) Or you want to be able to select all your tags at once? (I don't know if that can be done.)

No, I was thinking of my LJ friends (for example), who might want to see things on certain topics, and skip others. They could certainly click on the tags in the current entry, but if the current entry doesn't deal with things they are interested in, how can they look at the entries that DO deal with the things they are interested in. Similarly, how can I find the tags my friends use, if I'm interested in one topic they write about more than others.

That link I included above shows all of your tags and their frequency of use. You can find the same for anyone else, as well, by using the URL of this form: http://lj-user-name.livejournal.com/tag/ ( mine, for instance).

OK, that's useful... must see if I can find a way of putting it on my user page.
