Indeed.

The reports on the London Killings (which sound suspiciously like an urban myth to me...) worry me in the light of debates about immigration to the UK (which stem purely out of xenophobia rather than any sensible economic or political grounds) and the debate on id cards (which are going to discriminate against people who are not suitable white).

Fr. Dcn. Methodius,

Some time I would really like to have a chat with you. About what you do, in general, but also especially with the Church. I have to have an eye out for field work in the coming years. And I think you'd be really interesting to work with -- supposing you had interest in something like that.

But I'll need to pick a region in the next couple years in terms of doctoral work. And Orthodox missions in Africa is something I keep considering.

I am also really interested in Orthodox diaspora in general, and how they interact with their "host countries." That is, especially how much they lose their kids to the culture of the society, and how much they draw in converts.

Mmm, just some thoughts, I guess. But I just felt like mentioning what I was thinking about.

It sounds like an interesting project -- perhaps we could discuss it some more in the OC_ORTHODOX discussion forum, assuming you're still connected with it
