Have you ever had a moment where something happens, and all you can think is, "Oh my gosh, that is so horrible but absolutely hilarious. I am such a bad person; I shouldn't find this funny but I can't help it."? Well...yeah.

OMG! That happened to my grandfather - got buried in the wrong plot. They had to dig him up and reinter him. Pretty stressful and upsetting for my grandmother, but I agree about its being pretty funny when ya think about it.

On a semi-related note, I find funeral practices to be so strange. The way we do things in the West is so Victorian and macabre. I don't want anybody looking at my body when I'm dead... And random comment is random! Hope your grandmother is able to see the humor rather than be too upset about it.

Our poor grandfathers have the worst luck, don't they? I haven't heard from my grandmother since, but I can imagine that it's probably pretty stressful since someone from the state has to come down for some reason and it's going to take about four months for everything to be fixed, apparently.

I definitely agree with you on that front. I guess its just another one of those ways for people in the funeral business to gain money. I get that a viewing is a way for friends and family to say goodbye, but...
