So, yeah, Supanova is the one convention I attend every year, because I am totally a pop culture geek, and it doesn't even matter who the guests are, though I've gotten to hear and meet some pretty awesome people in the past ( Read more... )

But it's Jared and stuff...I have no idea what he'll be like in person, but past tv interviews were pretty amusing.

Heh, yeah, from his interviews he seems like a pretty funny guy. I think I will go that extra day to listen to his talk - it seems a little sad not even to make the effort. I only have to head out to Homebush - he's flying halfway across the world.

Wow that's a pretty big deal. I didn't recognise the name until I clicked the link - but yeah he's a lot better than "some dude who played an Orc in Lord of the Rings." Even though I'm not that into Supernatural - there's no denying his star power.

I'm actually quite happy Hayden's appearance got postponed - I was pretty bummed that I missed out on SN this year. But maybe the next time she comes by I will be in Sydney!

It's almost like fate is giving you another chance to meet. Maybe you can even give her a signed copy of Knee Pockets! XD

He's only having a Q&A on one of the days because he's only available until 3:30 on both days, due to other media engagements. I would recommend sitting in the panel room for most of the day to get a seat, as there was absolute hell when Jewel Staite went to talk in both Melbourne and Brisbane. Just don't sit in the front two rows, as they will be vacated for the people paying for the VIP and Supa Hero passes. If seeing Jared is really important to you, I would recommend getting the Supa Hero pass, which guarantees you to a seat during his talk, and an autographed photo of you and him.

Thanks for the heads up, I appreciate it. I'll probably go both days to attend all the events I want to check out, including Jared's Q&A.
