I too have received items from the scientists. Though I don't really understand why we've received these things. Still, they should prove useful as we head into winter.

Um... is everyone okay, after what happened? Fuuka-san and Minako-san are gone as well. [Aigis quiets down, seemingly speaking to herself.] Perhaps it's better this way...

[Deeper than the ocean.]

Miss? Have you ever considered what it means to live?

[Thinking deep is hard.]

Uhhh... no...

I think that your ties to people helps you realize your own life. Life becomes that much more precious when shared with others.

But life doesn't end here, and sometimes people will disappear before you can know them...

Death would be easier.

[But ys can't die]

Why do you think so?

There's no reason to question it if you're not alive to question.

Isn't that the same as running away?

[A life/death question that...Youmu doesn't have an answer to, for once. Death was very much a part of her job description--and her understanding of how the world worked. Take that away...and she was left with the same kind of questions.

Feel free to notice this frequency. Youmu is too deep in thought to properly answer at the moment.]

The ability to return from death doesn't lessen the value or meaning of life any more than being immortal lessens your life. Bonds exist even if they can't be broken, but a lack of death doesn't mean a lack of change.

Why do you think it wouldn't change?

I don't know. If death does not exist, is life easier to care less about? Or perhaps it's that we can have another chance that life becomes even greater in value...

One "lives" by fighting for their conviction.

I, too, have fought for what I believed in. But living is an endless struggle if you are fighting all the time.

... It may be.

Do you live by fighting for your own convictions? Do you feel like you are struggling to "live"?
