The last few weeks have been crazy! I had a falling out with my crazy grandma and went to live with my mom for a little bit, and came back home about a week ago. Everything's alright for now, but it's not the best situation ever ( Read more... )

First off, when they ask you, "You all right?"

They aren't asking you if you are okay, they're saying, "How are you?"

Heeh. When I first got here, I thought they were very concerned about me.

Oh yeah, I think I've heard that before. I know there are other words and phrases with completely different connotations over there too....it'll be an adventure getting used to it.

Fanny means vagina. :p Not bottom or a fanny pack!

Bonk means have sex, screw, shag. My husband laughs a lot when I go, "Ow!"
And he says, "What happened?"
And I say, "I bonked my head."

Throws him into a fit of hysterics.

Also, you may hear "botty" (which sound just like "body"), and THAT means butt.

And it pisses me off when my husband says "botty", because I think "body", so it confuses me. Every. Time!
