Out of curiousity, have you considered trying to repair your ship? The one that was nearly destroyed during the barrier attack?

I think no less of you. It seems like you've come to an understanding as well, with yourself. If you were still being controlled or given orders from Nightmare, then I would be worried for your sake.

Were your opinion of me to change, it would simply show that you had little confidence in me, and that is no good for an ally. And no, I am not receiving orders from Nightmare any longer; I long since escaped. It doesn't negate the reason I exist, but I can create my own reasons. I can still hear it in the clock, though. It will never fully vanish.

That's free will, to be able to choose your own reason, and create your own world of sorts. Being able to break free from Nightmare shows your strength and courage, which confirms to me your loyalty. I only wish other people who possess power could see what you have. Many a time, I've witnessed those with great potential abuse their abilities for a greater evil.
