Huh, I always had an opposite mythological drive. As long as there was the remote possibility of feeding maidens to dragons, I didn't want to be a maiden. :P

My husband contends that the Unicorns deliver the virgins to the dragons - they're Virgin Pushers.

"Young dragons standin' under the streetlamp, jonesin' HARD. Up trots the unicorn , virgin on back - 'Psst - want some of the good stuff?'"

He had no insight as to whether they also "pushed" virgins into volcanoes...a problem I don't see being discussed here.

Makes perfect sense, always wondered what a Unicorn wanted with a virgin anyway...and it explains the horn. "Is Uni gonna have ta stab a maid?!"...

I can see how it happens too..young dragon hanging out with his mates, at first it's just a social one, grabbed along with her sheep and a bite each. Soon after he's hunting them down, hanging around boarding schools and and he's addicted... he falls prey to the unicorns and before long it's 14 year olds doused in ketchup and a downward spiral into ruin!

AS far as "reasons to stay abstinent" go, THAT is probably the BEST one! :)

(That said, I'm glad I wasn't alone in having that reason...)
