I was having tea with my husband and my sensei in a coffee shop. American Idol was on the tv and we made snide comments along the lines of, "Could it get any WORSE? Stupid idiot box, etc."

Then they switched the channel to the SOTU.

I just rolled my eyes, but my ordinarily very sweetness-and-light sensei uttered, "I think I'm going to vomit all over the table." We drank up and left.

I didn't watch it. I couldn't. Just hearing Dumya voice clips on the radio is enough to make me scream in frustration, I would no doubt have multiple aneurysms then apoplexy if subjected to an entire speech.

Then I went out to sing and dance and be silly in hats, which all in all was a better use of my time.
