Thought it was finally time for me to carve out a bit of space for myself on the Internet, so I spruced up an old LiveJournal of mine that I’d registered and promptly forgotten about - just for the occasion. Resurrected it, if you will.

this is going to sound extremely strange but she wasn't willing to ask you -- the person who used to have the journal metaphor up until mid-2009 was kind of shocked someone renamed to it weeks after she deleted, and all of the old links to her are being redirected to you ... and you're getting credit for her art.

would you maybe be willing to note that you renamed somewhere in your userinfo and the icons, layouts and fiction attributed to 'metaphor' don't belong to you?

Hi, there - I certainly don't mind including a notation that I renamed my journal and have already done so in my profile.

I considered metaphor a v. lucky find for my rename token and had no idea of its history, as the journal had already been deleted and purged when I first happened upon it.

I'm not interested in taking credit for work that isn't mine. But I intend to use my journal for artistic purposes (including graphics and writings of my own creation) as well, so please understand that I can't include that disclaimer without also discrediting my own work. I'm afraid this situation is a downside to journal deletion and renaming for which LiveJournal has no solution yet (that I'm aware of).
