The way you cut and joined this story was awesome, it allowed romance and angst in equal portions throughout. And even though I already knew the outcome at the start, the journey of how they got there was brilliant.

I've always wanted to try writing a story like this, starting off with them having just got together, and then telling the story of how they had. Some parts were a lot easier than others though, and I was having a major panic when I'd only got a few hours left to post it in and no end in sight! (Or in my head;)) So I'm really, really chuffed you think it worked and enjoyed it so much.

God, this is beautiful. Loved this line: "After an hour or so of talking, they decide to call it mizzle." and "I knew you'd make everything all right" and the final section in which they sort of lunge at each other and Tonks showing her real self and the crisps flavor debate and oh. Memorizing this one and coming back to it often.

Thank you very much - this really was something of a labour of love, because I've always wanted to write something like this for these characters. Unfortunately, it did become rather frantic labours as I was so close to the wire with finishing it in time for posting here, and then I couldn't get an ending I liked and ... well, I was half convinced it wasn't going to work at all and I'd messed it up!

So as you can imagine, I'm thrilled that you seem to like it so much. Thank you for commenting, I really do appreciate it a lot. :D

If you only ever wrote how-the-got-together stories, I would be happy. Yours are always so different, and so perfect, and so them, and I could never ever get tired of how you write it. There's just nothing like UST building and building and building to real pay-off, and you're absolutely the master of making me root for them to get together.

Characteristic of your fics is always how much they ache to be together, no matter what stage of their relationship they're in, and even more, how you make me feel that for them. This piece is no exception, and I think just might be my favorite thing you've written

I'm so glad you enjoyed it as this story means quite a lot to me, being one I've intended to write for absolutely ages, but kept putting off for one reason or another (probably because I was very scared of tackling all the smutty parts;)). And then it turned into the maddest race against time ever to get it finished and I was half convinced I'd spoilt it all through rushing. So you'll gather how pleased your comments make me!

This was just lovely, I really liked how you balanced the build up of their relationship with the consumation of it. You did really well with the intimate details, enough so that we know what's happening but not too smutty or graphic, I really liked it. And I felt it was really belivable too.

I'm quite fond of your comments as well! Thank you very much for the kind words. This fic means a lot to me, as it was always one at the back of my mind that I was going to write one day, but kept putting off for one reason or another. And then it turned into the maddest race against time ever to get it done and I was half convinced I'd spoilt it by rushing. The sex parts were a worry, too - I've never really written much like that before - and I'm certainly never going to be able to do graphic, ever, but it's great that you found them believable as I was wondering if anyone would, lol.
