Oh, this is lovely! Such a vivid snapshot into Tonks' mood -- thought it a good touch to show just how low she's feeling that she is so willing to be suspicious of the gift because she's not really expecting someone to think of her this way. And the contents being all that chocolate is lovely, too -- I can just see Remus offering chocolate to keep the Dementors away, yet there's the romantic aspect, too, and this is such a great gesture to give Tonks hope not to give up on him.

Must echo godricgal and say I love that last line.

Hope we see more R/T from you in the new year. :)

Very cute use of your prompt. I liked the way the fic moved from her being all suspicious of the package and then the realization. Her hopefullness at the end in wonderful.

Good job! :)

This is lovely. I really enjoyed the humour in it that lightened the angst; how Tonks can make jokes about needing to fatten up, and still worry about her mother disapproving of her swearing. And somehow it seems perfectly Remus-like to have sent her a basket of chocolate crowned with a stuffed moose head!

Do you mind another person saying the last line is great?! Because it is; uplifting for both Tonks and me. Happy New Year to you. :)

Liked this a lot - I loved the spirit of the last line, and how you handled the angst of Tonks' HBP Christmas situation without laying it on too thickly. And Remus sending her a load of chocolate for Christmas was a really sweet idea.
