Aw, thanks for this! I think that even in canon, George would have taken Teddy under is wing and made a Marauder that James and Sirius would have been proud of!

But this is AU and Remus and Tonks are alive thus making it better than canon. Still I suspect James and Sirius are proud. ;)

That's a good point about George! Even without Remus and Tonks, Teddy would have had a lot of people who would have thought of him as family. But I like denial anyway. ;)

I'm just heading to bed and this is the perfect read for pleasant dreams. I think the Order would continue to meet for happy occasions like this one and you've set the tone nicely. Of course, Uncle George would help to carry on the Marauder traditions!

LOL. I saw sspring92's query and wondered if anyone would think there was obviously a lack of R/T New Year's fic in the world!

And how nice that you followed it up with this happy family moment. It seems fitting that Remus' year starts with the discovery that a mini Marauder is clearly setting forth on a life full of mischief. I'm rather impressed that Uncle George is guiding him so responsibly (at the moment!), and love Remus taking care not to spoil their fun.:D

That did seem to be a lack that needed to be filled! And I had the perfect prompt. ;)

As for George, maybe I'm overestimating him (or is that underestimating??), but I see him feeling a little bit too paternal toward Teddy to actually get him sloshed at age four, lol.
