::gah:: Christmas Angst! But with a little hope at the end! I really liked the idea of the charmed compact, something for her to hold on to! Thanks for posting. Lovely Christmas present!

Thanks! I wasn't sure how to use the prompt at first, but I'm glad it worked out in the end. Happy Holidays too :D

This is a lovely way to write HBP Christmas. We know Remus and Tonks can't really be back together, not yet, but this glimpse makes it clear how much they each want to be -- and since they both know that, it really is a ray of hope.

Really enjoyed the characterizations of Remus and Tonks here -- Tonks feeling empty and drained, and deeply worried about Remus, but refusing to give up, and Remus feeling that it's "selfish" to come and see Tonks no matter how much she wants him to.

Hie gift to her is a lovely idea, too. Something precious from his family, that he adds a special touch of his own to.

Thank you! I'm glad it did come across as hopeful in the end :)
Yeah, I love that Tonks never gave up on Remus even through all the tough times they faced..and glad she finally made him see how wrong he was!
I'm glad the gift came across well too :) I wasn't sure what to make it at first, but I saw a mirror like that at a store and loved how it looked!

You captured the mood of the song just oh so perfectly, and the (possible) delicate balance between Remus and Tonks at a (possible) Christmas meeting.

Thank you so much for sharing!

Thanks! :) I'm glad you liked it. And that the song's mood came across. I really liked using that song as a prompt :)
