Oh wonderful! I LOVE all of Remus's friends coming together against his will and making the wedding a celebration. A "small, quiet wedding" my foot! I particularly like Molly buttonholing Remus about the nasty requirements they had to meet to even get married and Ginny bearing down on Andromeda with sausage rolls and ballons! And of course, the twins' wedding hymn. Classic F&G. *sniff*

Apologies for being so late to reply to this - I hope it's a good excuse if I say I was reading the other fics here?!

And thank you very much for the kind words!:D Remus and Tonks had such a crap time in general in DH that I like to imagine that the times we don't see them are actually a whole lot better for them. I can't think that their friends, who seemed so supportive of them at the end of HBP, wouldn't at least acknowledge their marriage in some way that said yay! Even if this particular scene might be a little OTT... ;)

It makes things a little better, doesn't it? I agree that their friends would want to do SOMETHING for them. And hey, OTT is the Weasley way. They never do anything by halves.

Hee! I adore this, but you know how I feel about Lupin weddings, lol. And your Weasleys remind me so much of my own family, showing up en masse and foisting food upon innocent bystanders. XD

But what I really love is Remus's:

"What are you doing here?”

I really think you've got the copyright on R/T crazy weddings, lol, but their friends were bound to have done something on the day to make it special for them, weren't they? Even if I - and Molly with her canapes - might have gone a bit OTT here... ;)

Ah, but it's wonderful nonsense! Mad-Eye's line is my favorite - I can just imagine that terrified official being stuck in the middle of this motley crew. I also like how Remus is "in a moment of profound worry about the fact that he wasn’t actually worrying any more". That's so classically him.

Oh, it's great to hear you enjoyed this. I did feel a bit for the presiding Ministry official myself - I dread to think what Fred and George had planned for him afterwards, lol. But I do like to think their friends would have done something to acknowledge such a special day, even if Molly and her canapes might be a little imaginative on my part!

I do love the Weasley's showing up unannounced and uninvited and bringing the party with them! It would be lovely if this was the way their wedding really was. Not the somber affair it was kind of made to sound like in DH!

I couldn't resist the idea of giving R/T a real wedding to remember - surely their friends must have done something in honour of the occasion, even if it was a little saner than this scene. There again, Remus probably wouldn't want Harry to feel he missed out on canapes and balloons? ;)

You've got me giggling over here -- I'm very happy to be able to watch this moment of complete and utter madness! I love it that everyone's been reading Remus's confidential mail, and Mad-Eye manages to bring up threats to buttocks (one wonders if he's a bit fixated), and the Weasleys just steamroll over everyone.

I also got a smirk of satisfaction when I saw Ted enjoying himself -- now here's hoping that Ginny's sausage rolls will unbend Andromeda sufficiently. ;)

Glad to hear this had the giggle factor - I'm sure their friends must have done something special in honour of the occasion for them, even if this imagined scene is slightly OTT! I'm sure Andromeda's momentary frostiness won't stand a chance against the onslaught of sausage rolls and chicken sandwiches that Ron was looking after (and eating). ;)
