Oh, your Remus is lovely.

I really enjoyed Tonks showing Remus her desk; it was such a marvelous touch. And Remus going on about fuzzy dice and bobble-head dogs was wonderful.

So glad you enjoyed this, I was finding Remus slightly irresistible myself by the end. And the desk scene was my favourite part to write, so it's lovely to hear that you thought that about it.

Thank you!

I always enjoy seeing a more realistic version of romance--it's not all sweets and flowers and sex. And you do a good job of showing the complexities of falling in love, and all the trouble that comes with it. But in the end, it's worth all the trouble.

My favorite parts were Tonks showing him her desk, and Remus later wanting to buy her something silly to put on it. Very sweet. A genuine gesture that a real person would have done. I like that.

Nice story.

I read a fascinating book years ago on romances during World War I and II, lots of heart-wrenching copies of letters and personal stories, but what really came across was how gradually people realised they couldn't afford to take their time romantically because they never knew what was likely to happen in the coming days. Really, I feel I only got to scratch the surface with this one, but I'm very pleased you enjoyed the desk scene as that was also my favourite part.

Thanks for reviewing, and well done on the awards. Very well deserved. :)

Oh, I liked this! It just seemed so real. There were so many good parts! I loved the that she showed him her desk. I remember doing that for an ex-boyfriend and I was so nervous! Very nice with that.

These lines made me grin.
“There’s unwashed pots piled up in the kitchen, and I haven’t even made the bed.”

His lips were very warm on her skin. “Well that’ll probably save some time. It was good of you to plan ahead.”

Oh, sexy, sexy, Remus.

Great job! :)

I, too, have shown my desk nervously to a boyfriend, and I had the chocolate drawer, but not the straw donkey. (Plenty of other naff things though;)) It was actually the scene that changed the fic for me as I was feeling pretty unromantic at that point, but it led to furry dice and starlit ceilings so it's my favourite bit.

And glad you found Remus sexy. He did try his best to be Seductive Remus for her at the end, LOL.

Thanks for such a lovely review! :)

What an amazing story. The way you compared their "changing faces" and addressed such deep levels of love within this story was simply awesome. The time at which this occurs makes it feel achingly bittersweet. Just an emotionally-charged, tingling work! :D

Someone made a comment I saw not so long ago about Remus and Tonks probably being in a little bubble of happiness in OotP - which is why the events at the end and the start of HBP would hit them so hard. And I wanted to do a fic that tried to address how they reached that bubble, where lovers always think they're invincible, before it all blew up in their faces.

So it's great to hear you enjoyed it so much, because I really would have liked more time with this one, and didn't know how people would react to it. Many thanks for such a lovely review, which has certainly made me smile. :D

I don't care how late you are if you're going to say such nice things. This one gave me a lot of headaches and I'd have liked more time, but once I got to the desk scene it did all seem to start coming together and I got to touch on most of the points I wanted to ( ... )
