The dance floor was filled with a hundred undulating goths, their ghostly boredom set to music.
This is high on my list of favorite mental images of all time. XD

OoTP stories are my faves, too! LOL, I've never been to MEDUSA'S (or even to Chicago for that matter) but from what I've seen on their website, sure, why not! Looks like it to me! XD

Hee! I'm glad you like it. I can't even remember how the idea hit me, it just kind of happened, which is probably a good thing. Just glad I finished it, I don't think I could've taken listening to any more gothrock. 0___0 Neither of them fit very well at such a dark-themed club, though; Tonks is too cheerful and Remus isn't quite hip enough. :D

I think the trap particularly with Remus and Tonks is to write them kind of neutral -- romantic, certainly, but without any indication of the sex that obviously has to be happening somewhere backstage.

You're very right, and I've fallen into that trap as well, but how can there be no sex appeal? Punky, assertive girls are hot, and men think about sex quite a bit...or so I've heard. XD

I liked the idea of a goth club hiding a room full of Boggarts and who better do deal with them than our dear professor ;) Bellatrix as Tonks' boggart makes perfect sense.

I liked the focus on Tonks' physical attributes, she's a twenty-something with an active job, of course she'd have a great figure and enjoy showing it off, and Remus is a hot-blooded male, of course he'd notice. It was also very funny with the boggarts and the hands in inappropriate places. I enjoyed it very much!

This was just splendid! I loved the immediate awkward situation of Remus having accidentally groped Tonks -- you know it was bound to happen, as clumsy as she is. Everything about this is so descriptive and vivid -- love the club with the Goth teens, lol. You just have the best language for describing it, Snape's minions, lol. Loved the continued awkwardness with Tonks, eventually culminating in that very sexy kiss. But oh Remus! You just can't give in, can you?

Anyway, I think I'm rambling, but I loved this.

I agree! And I don't like it, which is why I was going for an empowered-but-still-really-cute version of Tonks. Because girls can be awesome and still be pretty!
