Just the right balance between the fear and tension of the times and the beauty of the event. Your description of the attendees paints a vivid picture and the ongoing mention of those Remus has lost makes the presence of others even more vivid and welcome. I like your take on the wedding very much.

*sigh*

What a wonderful story that very aptly described how Remus and Tonks' wedding might have taken place in canon. Once Remus (finally) realized he was worthy of Tonks' love, coupled with the uncertainty brought on by the war and anti-werewolf legislation, Remus probably would have been prepared to marry Tonks immediately. I liked your bittersweet description of their special day with the reference to James and Lily's anniversary date, and especially the mention of the loved ones whose presence were sorely missed ( ... )

Thank you for such a lovely review, I appreciate it!

I agree that Remus would have been ready to marry Tonks straight away, and if you look at the last two books, Remus and Tonks had to have married pretty quickly.

This was such a sweet fic. I think you used your prompt very well. For one thing, Arthur's line about Molly still taking his breath away was adorable. And Tonks wearing jeans under her wedding dress was a stroke of genius and so very Tonks. The last few paragraphs were also very nice.

Thank you so much!

As soon as I got the prompt, 'lace' made me think of a wedding, and from there, it became Tonk wearing jeans under her dress. I'm very much a jeans girl, and if I ever get married, I'd be wanting to wear my jeans too!

I love this fic to pieces. Perfect depiction of the sort of playful banter that's lacking in the books.

**Btw, Christian's MINE, buddeh. I get to see him on July 13th at the Post-Portus Wrock Dance Party. Beat that ;D I've got all three of his albums, lolzzz. Have you ever listened to "Lupin's Tale (Where Are We Going)" by them? It's an R/T song :)**

Thank you! What a lovely comment.

Uh uh, back off, he's MINE. I have all three of the albums too, plus the stuff he's done with Jace from Catchlove under the name Talons and Tea Leaves! I love Lupin's Tale (Where Are We Going).

I'm very jealous that you get to go see him next month. I'm going to Leaky Con next year, and I really hope he goes!

FINE, we share. haha :)

Fawkes' Lament and No Matter How Far are some of my favorites <3

It's nice to meet someone who loves him as much as I do!

He's gonna be playing with Jace from Catchlove, Matt from Whompy, and Alex from the Remus Lupins . . . which basically means that I'm going to die on the spot; I love all them, especially Christian and Alex!

I like so many things here ... Arthur's talk with Remus, and the tinge of sadness Remus must have felt that so many of those he loved weren't there for his wedding -- balanced against the fun of Tonks and Remus messing around right in front of the officiant (hee), the threatened lap dance, and Tonks's trick with the jeans. I really enjoy your style, too, which reads very easily but has a certain feeling of precision in word choice. Lovely!
