I liked that one very much, especially the flashback. Mentioning the ministry's suspicion of Tonks being a spy adds to the atmosphere and shows how dark the times, they were in, are.
Thought you summed up neatly and interestingly the R/T relationship in HBP; Remus not quite able to let go and Tonks definitely not doing so. Liked the line about her being the only one on duty because It was simply the build up of many choices made along the way, and the humour about her knowing every tile at St Mungo's.
The flashback's interesting too - makes me wonder what was going on in Remus' bedroom late at night!
Very interesting take on HBP, especially with the flashback that shows another, earlier rough moment for Tonks. It makes me wonder what happened in between -- did they have some time together, or has Remus been pushing her away all the time? I also liked the ending, the way he surprised her with a kiss, but yet turned and walked away all the same.

Very nicely down. And I can very well see HER taking up duty on New Year's Eve.
Very nicely done, thank you for sharing.
