Oh, very nice...a fun story, but just slightly tinged with sadness and remorse. I also like your take on what changes Remus's mind.

On another note, having been pregnant very recently (our son turned three weeks old yesterday), I think you got all the details right. But I was the opposite of Tonks...if the baby didn't move around a lot, I would be worried sick and stay up all night!

Thanks very much! I'm so pleased you liked this, especially with the perspective of a new mommy. :)

"I know you won't run away -- you, my love, will waddle."

LOL!! I loved this fic. I love the tenderness that you show between Remus and Tonks and Remus is the most adorable father-to-be. His impromptu carol rocks as well, lol. All in all this was lovely, it showed the love that can blossom despite the sorrow of them losing Ted. Wonderfully written. =)

I'm a total sap when it comes to the thought of Remus being an expectant father, and when canon gave us that opportunity for real, I just squeed at the prospect of writing pregnant!Tonks fic. I'm so glad you like my take on them here and that singing!Remus didn't make you run for the hills, lol. Thanks so much for reading and taking the time to leave such lovely comments.

I've read this at least three times since you posted and I'm still having difficulty putting into words just how lovely it is. We need more of these little moments when Remus and Tonks are happy despite all the bad things happening around them.

And thank you for that lovely, little visual prompt of Remus striping down...

Aw, that's so lovely to know. I can't think of a nicer compliment than you've read it several times. Thank you very much for reading and telling me, and I shall do my best to supply more happy DH moments as well as Remus getting nekkid, lol.

Lovely work, the atmosphere is like the song calm and peaceful, but changed between humour and sadness.

I never really thought about Andromeda before and therefore never saw how much she resembles her daughter, how she worries for her husband the same way, Tonks cared for Remus, when he left her in HBP. It was great to read about it, how you are able to convey these things, to put into words, what was never obvious to me as a reader.

Also like the interaction of Remus and Tonks as a married couple that expects their first child.

Well done!

Thanks for reading and taking the time to comment! I had always thought Tonks and Andromeda must be so different in a lot of ways, but what struck me in DH is how many similar experiences they've had in regard to love, so I wanted to bring that out in this piece. I'm so glad to have brought something new to the table, and that you liked how that played out in the fic.

I loved the way you balanced the hopeful elements related to the coming baby and the worry over Ted's non-appearance. Great use of the song prompt, too. Excellent story!

Thank you very much! I'm so pleased you enjoyed the fic. I liked writing the two contrasting storylines against one another and am so glad you think it works.
