You write the twins very well. I liked the interaction between them. You don't see that much in the books, they're nearly always just a unit. It makes them more real when they interact.
I LOVE that Sirius calls Tonks "peanut." It shows a bit of affection, but is also a little bit teasing, and I like to think their relationship was like that. Plus it's just cute. Related side note: Have you watched a TV show called "Dead Like Me?" If you haven't, check it out on DVD.
Poor Remus is so oblivious. No wonder Sirius is being smug. He has every right.
Your cooking scene was great. I can just see the potatoes and carrots flying around. The imagery was just so much fun! I'm somewhat intrigued by the notion of beans on toast. It is something I hadn't ever heard of before I started reading HP fic. Is it really that common over in the UK? My "poor" meal of choice is Mac&Cheese.
Thanks, it was lovely.

I'm afraid I haven't seen "Dead Like Me" -- I just don't have enough time to keep up with TV. The "peanut" nickname seems to suit the relationship I imagine for Sirius and Tonks, though; glad you like it!
As for beans on toast, I never knew about it before reading HP fanfic either (I'm in the US). But it definitely sounds like a good low-budget comfort food...

I'm firmly convinced that the twins have to be nearly as brilliant as James and Sirius were said to be, given that they seem to invent and develop new pranks all the time -- their dismal performance on OWLs must have been because they were too busy producing new Wheezes to study...
As for Sirius, I imagine him being torn between wanting to meddle, and wanting to amuse himself by watching Remus being oblivious. Hee.
