This is really great! There is a wonderful tension about the piece, and the graphite medium really does help with the surreal nature of dreaming. Great choices, and a great result! :)

Thank you very much! I'm so pleased you think the scene is tense, as that was what I was trying to convey. I have always worked with graphite, and I think it lends itself well to surreal drawings because you can suggest so many shapes. Thank you again. :)

A little late in reviewing, sorry! :) Oh, this is very, very spooky. I love the vertical trees caging him in on all sides (and the viewer becomes a tree, as well); the scene feels very confined, which is good. And the papers fluttering away from him towards the moon representing his logic flying away, out of control. I love the wolves and the moon lurking behind him where he cannot see them but he knows, KNOWS, they are there. *shudder* And the roots keeping him stuck there, unable to fight or run, utterly powerless. Love the balance of the moon behind him and Padfoot in front of him, the two polar opposites of his psyche. Very well done. :D

Lauren!* It doesn't matter if this is late or not, it is a wonderful review - making me happy from my toes to the ends of my hair! I am so pleased you took the time you obviously have to look at this drawing and telling me what it told you. It is wonderful as the artist to hear what other people see when they look at your work. You have caught so much (practically everything) of what I tried to put in this drawing, about how I think Remus' subconscious image of the world would look like, that I am stunned. Especially the fact that all that he fears is out of his line of sight, yet he is absolutely sure that it is there nonetheless. Thank you so much for such a wonderful comment! (I'm not even sure I have made sense, I'm so happy)

*I have trawled through your journal to find your first name, hoping you had done that first letter meme at some point, because I felt weird writing Bratanimus!
